Hello! My name is Callie Sue, and I'm looking for my forever home! I came to my foster family from Oklahoma where I don't think I had the best start to my life. I didn't really know that until I got to my foster home and realized all the amazing thing I had missed out on in my short life. My foster family and the nice people with T.A.R.A, don't think I had much interaction with people or other dogs before coming to stay with them. I don't act out, quite the opposite, I'm a bit scared of their movements, sounds, and actions. I had no idea what living in a cozy house with people was all about. Despite the fact house living is new to me- I am doing great with only going potty outside! I'm a pretty smart girl. My foster family has 3 other dogs that I live with, and let me tell you- they have taught me so much about what being a dog is all about! I had no idea what playing was, or what dog toys were, or eating from a bowl without worrying about anyone stealing my food! They are teaching me so much! I am a little unsure of new people, but if you go slow and give me a bit, I'll come over and let you give me all the pets, and probably sneak a kiss in. My foster family is very patient with me and is giving me time to warm up to all of the people. I tend to warm up the female humans a little faster than the males, but I'm getting there and am starting to realize they are nice too. My foster mom says the best forever home for me would be a family with older children for now. She's afraid the quick movements of a toddler or young kid might be very overwhelming for me but given time, I might get more used to those quick little kids. It would also be best for my home to have another dog that I can look to for guidance. I do like running and playing with other dogs and I really look to them to show me how to be a dog. Since no one ever showed me how to be a house dog before, I am still working on my basic commands, but I know I can learn them, I'm a smart girl- I'm just trying to figure out what is they want me to do without being scared. If you think you're family would love to give a shy, sweet girl like myself a forever home- please reach out to these amazing people at T.A.R.A and ask more about me, Callie Sue! I'm learning so much everyday- that I may already haven't gotten braver and learned something new and you'd never know if you don't ask about me.
